Abstract

To provide a display device that makes it possible to select a preferred combination of materials for an electron transport layer and a hole transport layer and a method for manufacturing the display device. The present invention is a display device including a display region, wherein the display region includes a light emitting element, in which a first electrode, a light emitting layer, a second electrode, an electron transport layer or a hole transport layer that is formed between the first electrode and the light emitting layer, and a hole transport layer or an electron transport layer that is formed between the second electrode and the light emitting layer are stacked, the electron transport layer contains at least one of ZnO, MgZnO and SnO, and the hole transport layer contains at least one of NiO and MoO.
