Abstract

A method for establishing wireless communication between devices in a medical facility includes, at a first device located in a medical room of the medical facility, receiving at least one wireless signal from a second device; determining, based on the at least one wireless signal received from the second device, a plurality of estimates of a position of the second device relative the first device using a plurality of position estimation algorithms; determining, based on the plurality of estimates of the position of the second device relative the first device, whether the second device is located in the medical room of the medical facility in which the first device is located; and in accordance with determining that the second device is located in the same medical room as the first device, establishing a wireless communication connection with the second device.
