Abstract

A flexible radiation-protective shield (20) for attachment to an operating table (2), comprising: a support structure (22) having an intended position attached to an operating table (2), preferably to a side (4) of an operating table (2), and a flexible radiation-protective flap (50), comprising a flexible radiation-protective material (40), attached to the support structure (22) and configured to extend above the support structure (22) when the support structure (22) is in the intended position. A system (70) comprising an operating table (2) and at least one flexible radiation-protective shield (20), as well as the use of the flexible radiation-protective shield (20) or the system (70) for protecting clinical staff (12) from radiation during a medical procedure comprising the use of radiation, is also disclosed.
