Abstract

A foldable radiation-protective shield (20) for an operating table (2), comprising a holder (22) having an intended position attached to an operating table (2), a first arm (34) having a first end (32) attached to the holder (22), a second arm (38) having a first end (40) attached to the holder (22), the attachment of the first ends (32, 40) in the holder (22) is configured to allow at least one of the first and second arms (34, 38) to be pivoted from a first folded position substantially parallel to the other one to a second unfolded position, the shield (20) further comprising a flexible radiation-protective material (54) attached to the first and second arms (34, 38) and shaped to extend over at least part of the circle sector formed by the first and second arms (34, 38) in the second unfolded position. A system (90) and a use are also disclosed.
