Abstract
A filter cartridge 10 for a fluid filter housing 100 with a filter element 30 sandwiched between a first-end plate 20 and a second-end plate 40 with a valve comprising a valve opening 55 and a valve member 60 enables to test the prior to installation of the filter cartridge 10 while at the same time to reduce the pressure drop across the valve, if the filter cartridge 10 further comprises a cartridge-support ring 50 spaced from the first-end plate 20, thereby defining a gap 54 which is the valve opening 55f.
