Abstract
A filter medium is provided, comprising a pre-filter layer made of staple fibers and a microfiber layer adhered to the pre-filter layer. The thickness of an adhesion interface is limited to a maximum of 30% of the total thickness of the pre-filter layer and the microfiber layer. Additionally, a method of producing the filter medium and a filter element designed for the filtration of cabin air, which filter element incorporates the filter medium, are described.
