Abstract

A drive unit for a hair trimmer and a hair trimmer, the hair trimmer includes a base component, a drive unit, and a blade component. The drive unit includes a base, a cover plate, a flexible plate, limit pins, movable plates, and a drive block. The cover plate has fixing posts, and mounting holes. The movable plates are assembled on the limit pins. Two ends of each of the movable plates have a positioning groove. Each of the positioning grooves is being flexibly inserted into the limit grooves of the limit pins. In a direction perpendicular to a central axes of the limit grooves a contact between a side wall of the positioning grooves and a side wall of the limit grooves is line contact. It not only improves product yield and reduces costs, but also lowers the output power of the drive mechanism, thereby extending battery life.
