Abstract

In order to improve traveling stability and maneuverability, to improve the freedom in designing layout, to achieve easy assembly and adjustment, and to achieve ride quality suitable for a user, with a simple configuration, a mobile unit includes a pair of left and right wheels that are supported by respective swing arms, and each of which moves up and down alternately in an operative association with the other. Neutral return mechanisms include respective extensible members each of which is caused to extend and retract by swinging motion of the swing arm corresponding thereto, and each of the neutral return mechanisms is configured such that torque generated by the restoring force of the extensible member and exerted to the swing arm remains substantially constant regardless of the amount of the swinging motion of the swing arm. A vehicle includes the mobile unit described above.
