Abstract
The invention concerns an apparatus (10) for transporting elongated articles (200), comprising a conveying device (11) and a plurality of carriers (20) associated with said conveying device (11) such as to advance along a transport direction (A), each carrier (20) comprising a pair of gripping and orienting members (22, 23), one (22) of which is motorized, each configured to grip an elongated article (200) at a respective end thereof. The gripping and orienting members (22, 23) are positioned in front of each other and rotatable about a same rotation axis (R) which is positioned orthogonally to the transport direction (A), and when the elongated article (200) is gripped by the gripping and orienting members (22, 23), its longitudinal axis (L1) coincides with the rotation axis (R).
