Abstract

In a seamless metal can 10 in which a bottom portion 5 is formed of a rising portion 7 extending upward from an inside of a ground contact portion 3 and a dome-shaped bottom surface 9 continuous with the rising portion 7, the dome-shaped bottom surface 9 includes a central dome portion 9a and a ring-shaped portion 9b formed so as to surround the central dome portion 9a, the ring-shaped portion 9b is continuous with an upper end of the rising portion 7, and has the following features (i) or (ii), thereby providing a seamless metal can having high pressure resistance and having a dome-shaped bottom surface effectively prevented from buckling, or providing an ultra-lightweight seamless aluminum can in which rupture of a body during forming is effectively prevented and which is significantly thinned. (i) A boundary portion X between the central dome portion 9a and the ring-shaped portion 9b is formed as a minute curved portion having a radius of curvature of less than 3.0 mm. (ii) An aluminum thickness (T0) at a central portion of the bottom portion is 0.270 mm or less, a diameter D of a lower end of the body portion 1a is 45 to 75 mm, a metal (aluminum) thickness at a thinnest portion of the body portion 1a is 0.080 to 0.105 mm, and a total aluminum weight is 14g or less.
