Abstract
When making a folding portion (1) perform a folding process, a control portion (3) drives the folding portion (1) and rotates a pair of first switchback rollers (11) forward. After the leading edge of a sheet (S) passes through a first switchback nip (SN1), the control portion (3) stops driving the folding portion (1) and stops rotating the pair of first switchback rollers (11) forward. The control portion (3) then starts rotating the pair of first switchback rollers (11) reverse and restarts driving the folding portion (1). When a slack part of the sheet (S) is drawn into a first folding nip (FN1), the control portion (3) first starts rotating the pair of first switchback rollers (11) reverse and then restarts driving the folding portion (1).
