Abstract
Compounds synthesized using amino acids that are readily available in the market and can be used industrially, which have an antifouling effect against marine fouling organisms and low toxicity are provided. The present invention relates to a composition comprising a dipeptide containing a proline residue, or a tripeptide containing a proline residue and a phenylalanine residue represented by formula (1):in whichR1 is a substituted or unsubstituted C3 to C10 hydrocarbon group; R2 and R3 are a hydrogen atom or a substituted or unsubstituted C1 to C8 hydrocarbon group; and R4 is a hydrogen atom, a substituted or unsubstituted C1 to C6 hydrocarbon group, and so on.
