Abstract

The present invention relates to an antigen-binding peptide binding to bactericidal permeability-increasing protein (BPI). The present invention further relates to a nucleic acid encoding the antigen-binding peptide, a recombinant cell comprising the nucleic acid, and a composition comprising the antigen-binding peptide, the nucleic acid, or the recombinant cell. Furthermore, the present invention relates to the antigen-binding peptide, the nucleic acid, the recombinant cell, or the composition, for use in a method of preventing or treating an inflammatory disease, disorder, or condition. The present invention further relates to a use of the antigen-binding peptide, the nucleic acid, the recombinant cell, or the composition in a method of detecting BPI in a sample. The present invention further relates to a method of identifying an agent binding to BPI.
