Abstract

A carbon fiber assembly, and a preparation method therefor and a use thereof. The carbon fiber assembly comprises a plurality of carbon fiber basic units which are arranged in a non-oriented manner, wherein the carbon fiber basic units comprise a carbon fiber bundle formed by a plurality of carbon fibers and optionally single carbon fibers; the carbon fiber bundle is a carbon fiber tow that is fixed together; at least one fixed node is arranged on the carbon fiber tow; taking the two ends of each carbon fiber in the length direction as carbon fiber ends, the number of carbon fiber ends contained in each gram of the carbon fiber assembly is greater than or equal to 1×10⁶ in terms of the number of carbon fiber ends. The carbon fiber assembly can be used for microwave heating pyrolysis of an organic material in a microwave field, and preparation of syngas using carbon dioxide in a microwave field; the organic material includes one or more of plastics, biomass, and volatile organic compounds.
