Abstract

An assembly (300) to control a gap between a rotor blade (192) and a casing in a turbine engine (100), the assembly (300) including a casing (301) having an annular casing body (303) and a liner (302) positioned adjacent an inner radial surface of the annular casing body (303), the casing (301) being separated from the rotor blade (192) by the gap in a radial direction. The annular casing body (303) has a lower coefficient of thermal expansion than that of the liner (302) and that of the rotor blade (192). The liner (302) is provided with spring extensions (304) having a specific design and coefficient of thermal expansion to control the gap between the rotor blade (192) and the casing (301).
