Abstract

An object detection device includes a plurality of transmission and reception units each of which is configured to transmit a transmission wave and receive a reflected wave, a road-surface reflection intensity calculation unit configured to calculate, on a basis of the reflected wave received by each of a pair of transmission and reception units that are in a symmetrical positional relationship in a shape of a mobile object and are installed at a same height among the plurality of transmission and reception units, first road-surface reflection intensity that is intensity of a road-surface reflection wave received by one transmission and reception unit of the pair of transmission and reception units and second road-surface reflection intensity that is intensity of a road-surface reflection wave received by the other transmission and reception unit of the pair of transmission and reception units, and an abnormality detection unit configured to detect an abnormality in at least one of the pair of transmission and reception units on a basis of a difference between the first road-surface reflection intensity and the second road-surface reflection intensity.
