Abstract

An object detection device detects an obstacle present around a mobile object on a basis of a time-series change in intensity of a reflected wave generated by a transmission wave transmitted from the mobile object being reflected by an object, and the object detection device includes a threshold calculation unit configured to calculate a varying threshold varying depending on movement of the mobile object on a basis of a moving average value of intensity of the reflected wave, and a determination unit configured to determine that the obstacle is present in a case where intensity of the reflected wave is larger than a predetermined fixed threshold and the varying threshold.
