Abstract

A recommendation indicating an action to be performed to avoid a failure in a rotating equipment, and when the action is be performed, is generated based on an estimated duration how long it will take until a fault evolves to a failure and at least one operating parameter of the rotating equipment. The duration may be estimated using predicted values obtained using a model trained for predicting evolve-ment of values of a first group of key performance indicators in an operating group the rotating equipment belongs to, the model outputting predicted values for the first group of the key performance indicators, the input to the model being measurement data obtained from the rotating equipment.
