Abstract

The method for controlling a money handling apparatus includes: causing the money handling apparatus to store money in a first storage that stores and feeds money; causing the money handling apparatus to store money in a second storage that stores and feeds money; and causing the money handling apparatus to selectively perform a first collection process or a second collection process when performing a collection process of collecting money from the money handling apparatus. The first collection process is a process in which the money handling apparatus dispenses, to an outlet, money fed from the first storage and money fed from the second storage. The second collection process is a process in which the money handling apparatus consolidates money in the money handling apparatus into the first storage by moving money from the second storage to the first storage.
