Abstract

A method and a computer (110) for managing fitting between a golf club (4) and a golf player (3) are disclosed. The computer (110) obtains (A110) a measured ball speed, a measured ball launch angle, and a measured ball distance, obtained by a tracking device (140). The computer (110) uses (A130) at least one of a computed ball spin and the measured ball launch angle as input to a fitting model that defines interdependencies among a set of parameters for the measured ball speed to generate (A140) one or more recommendations regarding the golf club and/or one or more swings based on the fitting model. The generating (A150) of said one or more recommendations is performed iteratively, until a difference between two or more of the measured ball distance, the maximum distance and a subsequent measured ball distance for said one or more subsequent golf shots satisfies a threshold.
