Abstract
The present invention aims at providing a method and apparatus for displaying an image, a display device, and a storage medium, relating to the field of display technologies. The method for displaying an image includes: acquiring a current frame; dividing the current frame into multiple first partitions according to a first predefined manner, and dividing the current frame into multiple second partitions according to a second predefined manner, wherein the number of the second partitions is greater than or equal to that of the first partitions; determining expected backlight luminance of the current frame based on a first backlight value of each first partition and a target light diffusion coefficient of each second partition, wherein the target light diffusion coefficient characterizes degree of influence of luminance of all the first partitions located within a first predefined range of one second partition on that second partition; and performing pixel compensation on pixels of the current frame based on the expected backlight luminance, and displaying the current frame having undergone the pixel compensation. By the above method, an image display effect can be improved.
