Abstract

Computer-implemented system and method for the detection of cyberattacks. The method (100) comprises: receiving (110) a data frame (5) of a network traffic with a plurality of data packets (13); identifying (120) flows of communication (122) in the data frame (5); dividing (130) each flow of communication (122) into semiflows (132) formed by a predetermined number of data packets (13); adjusting (140) the payload (138) size of the data packets (13) of each semiflow (132) to a predetermined size, obtaining a modified payload (142) for each data packet (13); dividing (150) the modified payload (142) of the data packets (13) of each semiflow (132) into fragments (154) of a fixed size, obtaining a fragmented payload (152) for each data packet (13); and detecting (160) cyberattacks (12) in the data frame (5) of the network traffic by classifying each semiflow, using a trained classifier (32) that takes as input the fragmented payloads (152).
