Abstract
Provided is a communication apparatus, comprising a transceiver which, in operation, receives an indication regarding adaptation of resources for a physical random access channel, PRACH, wherein the indication indicates whether or not a paging downlink control information, DCI, indicates one or more PRACH adaptation parameters, and/or an information portion of the paging DCI, the information portion indicating the one or more PRACH adaptation parameters; and receives the paging DCI. The communication apparatus further comprises circuitry which, in operation, if the paging DCI indicates the one or more PRACH adaptation parameters, determines the one or more PRACH adaptation parameters based on the indication, and determines resource occasions of the PRACH based on the one or more PRACH adaptation parameters. The transceiver, in operation, performs transmission, reception, and/or monitoring of the PRACH on the determined resource occasions.
