Abstract
An aircraft powerplant assembly includes a cooling plate (128), a first electric machine controller and a second electric machine controller. The cooling plate (128) includes a fluid cooling circuit (164), a cooling circuit inlet (166) and a cooling circuit outlet (168). The fluid cooling circuit (164) extends within the cooling plate (128) from the cooling circuit inlet (166) to the cooling circuit outlet (168). A first controller housing is removably attached to the cooling plate (128) and overlaps the fluid cooling circuit (164). First controller circuitry is in thermal communication with the cooling plate (128) through a wall of the first controller housing. A second controller housing is removably attached to the cooling plate (128) and overlaps the fluid cooling circuit (164). Second controller circuitry is in thermal communication with the cooling plate (128) through a wall of the second controller housing.
