Abstract

This high-temperature tolerance inducer for plants contains a carrier having an active ingredient containing at least one compound having a boiling point or sublimation point of 200°C or lower and a hydrophobic compound having a boiling point exceeding 200°C supported on a porous material. The solubility of the hydrophobic compound in water is preferably less than 10 g/100 mL. The hydrophobic compound is preferably at least one compound selected from the group consisting of plant oils, mineral oils, and wax esters. The compound that represents the active ingredient is preferably an unsaturated carbonyl compound.
