Abstract
The present invention relates to a cosmetic or dermatologic or pharmaceutical comprising an effective amount of a compound for use in the treatment and/or prevention of oily or oily-prone skin and/or acne, namely sialic acid and/or any derivatives thereof. The present invention further relates to non-therapeutical methods the treatment and/or prevention of oily or oily-prone skin and/or acne and uses of sialic acid and/or any derivatives thereof for inhibiting the expression of the 5alpha-reductase and for treating and/or preventing oily or oily-prone skin and/or acne and a use for treating and/or inhibiting Cutibacterium acnes.
