Abstract

The present invention provides a steel sheet cold rolling method, a cold-rolled steel sheet manufacturing method, and a cold-rolled steel sheet manufacturing facility that can, in response to a coefficient-of-friction prediction method that can predict the coefficient of friction between work rolls and a steel sheet with a high accuracy and the predicted coefficient of friction, reduce fluctuations in the sheet thickness along the entire coil length including rolling acceleration and deceleration regions and thereby meet required stringent sheet thickness accuracy. In this steel sheet cold rolling method, a work roll gap of a cold rolling mill is controlled by using a prediction model that predicts the coefficient of friction between work rolls of the cold rolling mill and the steel sheet. The prediction model is created using actual rolling performance data as explanatory variables and an estimated value of the coefficient of friction as an objective variable. The actual rolling performance data includes the deformation resistance of a steel sheet and a work roll diameter. This steel sheet cold rolling method includes inputting rolling conditions of the steel sheet into the prediction model to predict the coefficient of friction between the work rolls of the cold rolling mill and the steel sheet, and controlling the roll gap of the cold rolling mill in response to variations in the sheet thickness on the cold rolling mill exit side.
