Abstract

Device (1) and method for maintenance of a machine tool, wherein the device (1) comprises a fixed frame (7) comprising a support base (10) and a movable frame (12) comprising a flat alignment face (13) defining an alignment plane; an abrasion system (14) structured to be able to abrade an internal surface (4) of a seat (3) of the machine tool, wherein the movable frame (12) is rotationally fixed to the fixed frame (7) to be able to rotate with respect to the fixed frame (7) around a second rotation axis (100), wherein a main body (15) of the abrasion system (14) is angularly rigidly fixed to the movable frame (12) so that a first rotation axis (17) of an abrasion element (16) defines, with the alignment plane and in a reference plane (18) perpendicular to the alignment plane, a fixed acute angle (19) complementary to a nominal taper angle (5) of the internal surface (4) of the seat (3), wherein the second rotation axis (100) is parallel to the alignment plane and perpendicular to the reference plane (18), and wherein the method comprises rotating the movable frame (12) with respect to the fixed frame (7) around the second rotation axis (100) to position the alignment face (13) perpendicularly to a rotation axis (22) of the spindle (2) and activating the abrasion element (16) to abrade the internal surface (4) of the seat (3).
