Abstract

Aspects of the present invention relate to a rear-view display unit (200) for an automotive vehicle. The rear-view display unit (200) is made up of a rear-view display screen (220) which is electrically connected to a printed circuit board (210) and a cover portion (240) positioned in front of the rear-view display screen. The cover portion features a viewing window through which at least part of an active display area of the rear-view display screen is visible. Notably, the viewing window is configured such that the vehicle operator is presented with a different, more ergonomic viewing area during use.
