Abstract

A seat-mounted airbag assembly (1000) is provided. The assembly comprises a first lateral airbag (101A) configured to deploy adjacent to a first side of a vehicle seat (1) and a first wrap-around belt (201A) extending from an upper portion of a seat back (3) to a tensioning device (300) arranged at least partly underneath a seat pan (5). The first wrap-around belt (201A) is configured to be tensioned and form a reaction surface to the first airbag (100A). A lower end of the first wrap-around belt (201A) extends along a surface of the seat pan (5) towards a lower side of the seat pan (5) where it connects to the tensioning device (300). A portion of the lower end of the first wrap-around belt (201A) is received in a first tube (10A).
