Abstract

A seat-mounted airbag assembly (1000A; 1000B) is provided. A seat-mounted airbag assembly comprises a lateral airbag (101A; 101B) supported by a lateral side of a vehicle seat (1); a tensioning device (300); and a wrap-around restricting member (200A; 200B). The restricting member extends across the lateral airbag. The wrap-around restricting member is configured to be tensioned by the tensioning device (300) to thereby form a reaction surface to the lateral airbag upon inflation and deployment of the lateral airbag. The wrap-around restricting member (200A; 200B) has a longitudinal extension where the member along a first longitudinal portion (P1) is formed by a belt (204) and along a second portion (P2) is formed as a cord (205).
