Abstract

A head changing device (200), for replacing a wrapping head (10) being configured to support and unwind a film reel (520) in a wrapping machine (100) for wrapping a palletised load (500) by means of a protective packaging material in particular a stretch film, said head changing device (10) comprising a first operating station (200a) wherein it provides to the machine (100) the wrapping head (10) to be installed and receives from the machine (100) the wrapping head (10) to be picked up and a second operating station (200b) wherein it receives from an operator the wrapping head (10) to be installed on the machine (100) and provides to the operator the wrapping head (10) released from the machine (100), said head changing device (200) comprises a rotating table (230) on which at least a first and a second exchange unit (210, 220) are installed adapted to receive/release the wrapping head (10) for its replacement, and said rotating table (230) being configured to rotate around a central vertical axis (Z) and bring said at least first and second exchange unit (210, 220) at the first and second operating station (200a, 200b) respectively and vice versa.
