Abstract
A liquid-crystalline medium (also called liquid crystal material) having a nematic phase comprising one or more compounds with a terminal 5,6-difluoro-benzo[b]furan ring as provided by the formulae, the use thereof in an electro-optical display, particularly in an active-matrix display based on the IPS or FFS effect, and to displays, especially energy-saving LC displays or LC displays with a low power consumption, which contain a liquid crystal material of this type.
