Abstract

A genome editing method includes a step of shooting fine particles coated with at least one nucleic acid and at least one protein into a shoot apex of a plant using a gene gun equipped with a stopping plate, wherein a value P represented by an equation 1, which is P = (A/2)<5> x B × 10<4>/C<3>, is 0.8 or greater and 5,000 or less. In the equation 1, A is "an average particle size (µm) of the fine particles", B is "a gas pressure (psi) of the gene gun", and C is "a distance (mm) between the stopping plate of the gene gun and the shoot apex".
