Abstract

The invention relates to a downhole patch comprising a tubular body having an upstream end, a downstream end, and an intermediate section extending from the downstream end to the upstream end, wherein the intermediate section has an exterior surface comprising a helical structure configured to guide fluid along the length of the intermediate section. The invention also relates to a method for patching a downhole structure.
