Abstract

A fluid control device (10) including a first connection element (20) extending axially between a first opening (26) and a second opening (28) along an axis (A-A), the first connection element defining a cavity (30) extending between the first opening and the second opening; an insert (50) configured to be received within the cavity (30) of the first connection element (20), the insert extending axially between an inlet (56) and an outlet (58) and defining a channel (62) extending between the inlet and the outlet, the insert being configured to be transitioned axially between a first position and a second position; and a second connection element (80) configured to connect with the first connection element (20) and to transition the insert (50) from the first position of the insert toward the second position of the insert when the second connection element is connected with the first connection element.
