Abstract

A damper (10) with a damper housing, said damper housing comprising a piston (12) operable to move within the damper housing, and a piston rod (14) operable to engage with said piston (12). The damper housing further including damping fluid operable to be urged from a first side of the piston (12) to a second side of the piston (12) via a bore (18). A closure element (28) located in said bore (18) and movable from a first limit to a second limit with respect to the piston (12), wherein resistance to movement of the damping fluid is reduced as the closure element (28) moves from the first limit to the second limit.
