Abstract

A heat exchanger plate for a gasketed plate heat exchanger (GPHE), comprising:a base plate having a first surface and a second surface, wherein the first surface is configured to be in contact with a first fluid, and the second surface is configured to be in contact with a second fluid for the purpose of heat transfer between the first and second fluids,the base plate having a heat transfer area and an edge area, which extends around and outside the heat transfer area, wherein the heat transfer area and the edge area of the base plate are separated by a gasket path,characterised in that the base plate comprises an integrated thin-film temperature sensor configured to measure a temperature in the heat transfer area.
