Abstract

A surface inspection system (100) for inspecting a surface (102) of a structure (104) and methods for inspecting the surface (102) of a structure (104) are disclosed. In some examples, the surface inspection system (100) includes one or more image sensors (106) having two or more image sensor lines (108), one or more light sources (110), and one or more controllers (112). The one or more controllers (112) are configured to selectively control the one or more image sensors (106) and the one or more light sources (110) to perform an image capture cycle. Performing the image capture cycle comprises sequentially triggering each image sensor line (108) to capture a respective image segment of the surface (102) using each image sensor line (108), and when triggering each image sensor line (108), simultaneously triggering a corresponding configuration of the one or more light sources (110) to illuminate the surface (102) when capturing the respective image segment.
