Abstract
A battery diagnostic device according to an embodiment of the present disclosure may include a memory storing at least one instruction and at least one processor executing the at least one instruction, and the at least one processor may identify an individual vector representing a voltage of any one battery cell included in a battery unit at a specific point in time and a voltage change amount over a predetermined time interval after the specific point in time, identify, based on the individual vector, a specified number of reference vectors at each of a plurality of past points in time before the specific point in time, identify a first distribution characteristic among voltages of unit battery cells included in the battery unit, corresponding to the individual vector, and second distribution characteristics among voltages of the unit battery cells, corresponding to respective reference vectors, and set a diagnostic criterion for diagnosing the one battery cell based on the first distribution characteristic and the second distribution characteristics.
