Abstract

The invention provides a computer-implemented method for industrial plant event handling comprising an analytics component employing pattern and/or correlation analysis and/or trend analysis and/or anomaly detection to: in response to an alert being triggered by a Security Information and Event Management, SIEM, system, assess a likelihood of the alert being based on a false positive determination; and/or in response to an alert being triggered by the SIEM system, intervene in the processing of the alert by the SIEM system; and/or in response to an alert being triggered by the SIEM system, provide context information relevant for the alert to a user; and/or propose to a user and/or deploying, autonomously or in response to user confirmation, an update for an alert detection rule of the SIEM system, based on one or more of: current alert information; control system information; historical alert information.
