Abstract

The disclosure relates to a computer-implemented method, comprising:- obtaining training data (2) from an operation of an industrial process plant;- training, using the training data (2), a machine learning model (1) for assisting a plant operation of the industrial process plant;- determining several sub-populations (3) in the training data (2), each one of the sub-populations (3) relating to a different scenario of an operation of the industrial process plant;- determining several performances of the machine learning model (1), each one of the performances relating to a different sub-population (3);- determining, based on the performance of each one of the sub-populations (3), one or more underrepresented sub-populations (4), which are underrepresented in the training data (2) compared to other sub-populations (3) in the several sub-populations (3); and- revising, based on the one or more underrepresented sub-populations (4), the machine learning model (1) for increased consideration of the one or more underrepresented sub-populations (3) when assisting the plant operation of the industrial process plant.
