Abstract

An information processing apparatus (102) receives a job history from an image forming apparatus (101) that performs a job to form an image on a recording medium. The job history includes information on a printing job that has been normally completed and information on a related job related to the normally completed printing job. The information processing apparatus (102) includes first and second calculation units (601), an addition unit (361), and a storage unit (363). The first and second calculation units (601) calculate the carbon dioxide emissions generated when the normally completed printing job is performed and the carbon dioxide emissions generated when the related job is performed. The addition unit (361) adds up the amounts calculated by the first and second calculation units (601). The storage unit (363) stores the sum of the amounts as a total amount of carbon dioxide emissions associated with the normally completed printing job.
