Abstract

Fuel cell stack assembly (1) comprising at least an assembled fuel cell stack (2) having at least a first endplate (8-1) and a second endplate (8-2) sandwiching a plurality of unit fuel cells, wherein each unit fuel cell comprises a membrane electrode assembly and a bipolar plate, and wherein the first end plate (8-1) has at least one connection element (10) through which a medium for operating the fuel cell stack is guided to or from the fuel cell stack (2), wherein the fuel cell stack assembly further comprises an adapter plate for providing a fluid connection between a medium duct and the first endplate.
