Abstract

A battery cell according to an embodiment of the present invention may include: an electrode assembly in which a positive electrode and a negative electrode are alternatingly interposed with a separator therebetween; and a pouch-type exterior including an accommodation portion that is recess-formed to accommodate the electrode assembly. The accommodation portion may include a center region; and a pair of end regions located on opposite sides of the center region, having a depth dimension smaller than a depth dimension of the center region, and being asymmetric to each other.
