Abstract

An apparatus configured to: receive, from a network node, a configuration for carrier aggregation, wherein the configuration comprises, at least, an indication of at least one secondary cell; and configure reception from the at least one secondary cell based, at least partially, on: whether a first band comprising at least one component carrier of a serving cell, and a second band comprising at least one component carrier of the at least one secondary cell, are a same band, and whether use of the single receiver chain is estimated to negatively impact reception performance of the apparatus, wherein the apparatus is capable of receiving at least two non-adjacent component carriers using a single receiver chain.
