Abstract

An image sensor includes a sensor substrate including a first pixel, a second pixel, a third pixel, and a fourth pixel, and a nano-photonic lens array including a first meta-region, a second meta-region, a third meta-region, and a fourth meta-region, wherein each of the first to fourth meta-regions includes at least one nano-structure configured to condense light of a first wavelength onto the first and fourth pixels, light of a second wavelength onto the second pixel, and light of a third wavelength onto the third pixel, and at least one nano-structure provided in at least one of the second meta-region and the third meta-region is a polarization-separating nano-structure configured to provide the light of the first wavelength having a first polarization component to the first pixel and provide the light of the first wavelength having a second polarization component to the fourth pixel.
