Abstract

The invention relates to a footwear sole (1) comprising an outer sole (2) and a pin (3), wherein the pin (3) is fitted into a hole in the outer sole (2) and projects through the upper face of the outer sole (2). The pin (3) is made from a first elastomeric composition comprising a first elastomer, an electrically conductive compound and an oil. The pin (3) is fitted and fixed in the hole by injection moulding. Inserting the pin (3) directly into the outer sole (2) by injection moulding results in a fluid-tight seal. The invention relates to a footwear sole applicable in the technical field of manufacturing earthing footwear, that is, footwear with structural features that allow the connection of an electrically conductive element to the earth.
