Abstract
The invention relates to a skin-cleansing implement (11) comprising a plurality of bristle elements (35) arranged on a carrier (23) which is rotatable about an axis of rotation (25). The bristle elements each have an axial tip distance (D<sub>T</sub>) at which a distal tip (43) of the bristle element is arranged from an imaginary reference plane (45). A distal-tip amplitude of the bristle elements in a first central area (51) of the carrier, which is defined as a difference between a largest axial tip distance and a smallest axial tip distance of the bristle elements in the first central area, is smaller than 1 mm and is preferably zero. The bristle elements in a second area of the carrier, surrounding the first central area, are arranged in annular zones (59). In each annular zone the bristle elements have different axial tip distances (D<sub>T</sub>), and a distal-tip amplitude (A<sub>T</sub>) is defined as a difference between a largest axial tip distance (D<sub>TL</sub>) and a smallest axial tip distance (D<sub>TS</sub>) of the bristle elements in the annular zone. The distal-tip amplitude of the bristle elements in an outermost annular zone (59-1) has a maximum amplitude value (A<sub>TMAX</sub>), and the distal-tip amplitude of the bristle elements in the other annular zones is smaller than the maximum amplitude value. The distal-tip amplitude may gradually increase in a radial outward direction (R) from a minimum amplitude value (A<sub>TMIN</sub>) at an innermost annular zone (59-2) to the maximum amplitude value (A<sub>TMAX</sub>) at the outermost annular zone.
