Abstract

A vacuum cleaner (10) includes a first agitator (36), a second agitator (38), a suction conduit (26), a drive motor (60), and a removable assembly including at least one of the agitators (36, 38). The removable assembly can include drive components (102, 104) operably connecting the drive motor with one or both of the agitators. The housing can have a removable sole plate (62) that is removed to access the assembly. Methods for user disassembly of a vacuum cleaner with a removable agitator assembly are also provided.
